Youth Religious Education: Young Children

Infants

Our infants are lovingly cared for in our new infant room inside the preschool building, the room has infant friendly toys & books, a pint-sized table & chairs, a quiet room with rocking chairs and cribs. We ask that parents please provide their own labeled changing supplies and food. Parents are welcome anytime. Parents MUST sign their children in and out of class.

Toddlers/Young Preschool

Preschoolers are encouraged to have fun while learning. Activities and crafts incorporating our UU principles are offered as well as games, puzzles, music, movement and books. Weather permitting, the children are allowed to play in the outside yard that is enclosed with a gate. Snacks and juice are provided. Parents are welcome anytime. Parents MUST sign their kids in and out of class.

Curriculum: We Are Many, We Are One
Following the premise that children learn about religion through relationships, We Are Many, We Are One creates an atmosphere that invites religious growth and learning. Asking questions like who am I? What is a person? How am I related to others? How do I treat other people? They will experience a sense of belonging and importance as members of a group, begin learning how to make their classroom a peaceful and friendly place, connect with each other and the congregation and feel support and affirmation for their individuality.
